WATCH: Kevin Doyle’s Irish slang causes confusion on Soccer AM

Ireland’s Kevin Doyle baffled Helen Chamberlain when he appeared on Soccer AM this morning.

The striker told a story about Mick McCarthy and how the famously cranky Yorkshireman reacted when Doyle took off his shirt to celebrate scoring a goal.

He said McCarthy gave out to him - except being Irish, that’s not exactly how he said it.

Chamberlain and co-host Max Rushden were so confused by Doyle they asked him to repeat himself - they seemed to be under the impression he had said something very rude.
