Charlton investigate ’sex on pitch’ video

Charlton are investigating footage that appears to show a couple having sex on the club’s pitch.

The video, that has been shared widely online, shows footage of a man and a woman on the centre spot of a football pitch.

The description on the video claims the incident took place at The Valley, with the pair having broken into the ground at night.

A Charlton spokesperson said the club knew nothing of the incident, adding: “There will be a club investigation.”

The short video had been viewed over one million times by 2pm on Thursday on the Vine social network, having been first posted on Wednesday evening.

Partly pixelated, it gives no context to the couple’s presence on the pitch, nor any indication of how they managed to get inside the Sky Bet Championship club’s stadium.

The couple are largely fully clothed during the video’s six-second duration.
