Cambridge windfall to boost stadium

Cambridge chairman Dave Doggett plans to invest the expected £1.5m windfall from their FA Cup fourth-round replay at Manchester United on the League Two club’s own stadium.

The Us, the lowest ranked side remaining in the competition, held 11-time FA Cup winners Manchester United to a goalless draw last Friday at the R Costings Abbey Stadium to earn a glamour return at Old Trafford on February 4.
