Blyth Spartans saw their hopes of an FA Cup third-round upset ended by Birmingham’s second-half fightback at Croft Park.
The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side enjoyed a brilliant first half, with captain and part-time barman Robbie Dale scoring twice to put them 2-0 up at the break.
