A black cat kicked off the new season at the Nou Camp

Black cats are traditionally supposed to be unlucky but this one didn’t do Barcelona any harm during their La Liga tie against Elche.

The moggie appeared just before kick-off and proved itself a lot better at dodging stewards than the average pitch invader.

It was eventually shepherded from the pitch and scooped up on the sideline before the match got underway.

Any bad luck it brought obviously went to the visitors as Barcelona recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory.
