Kompany starts in title showdown

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany was declared fit to start against Liverpool at Anfield after his injury scare in training.

The only change from last week’s victory over Southampton saw Gael Clichy replace Aleksandar Kolarov.

Liverpool named the same side which beat West Ham last weekend, meaning the fit-again Daniel Agger had to settle for a place on the bench.
