Allardyce relieved as Hammers escape drop zone

Ten-man West Ham eased the pressure on manager Sam Allardyce as they climbed out of the relegation zone with a 2-0 win at Cardiff.

Carlton Cole was on hand to convert from close range from Matt Jarvis' excellent pass, before James Tomkins was sent off in the second half.
