Celtic have written to a European rival – believed to be Benfica – to warn them off attempts to sign goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

The Parkhead club have been angered by attempts to lure the Englishman, who was this week named in Roy Hodgson’s squad for the Three Lions up-coming World Cup qualifiers with Moldova and Ukraine.
