Sunderland at full strength
Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill has named a full-strength team but only six substitutes for the FA Cup third round tie at Bolton.
The three changes from the midweek defeat at Liverpool sees Phil Bardsley, David Vaughan and Titus Bramble return to the starting line-up, with O’Neill highlighting his lack of depth by opting for only five outfield players and a goalkeeper on the bench.
Bolton make six changes from Tuesday’s defeat at Leeds, with goalkeeper Andy Lonergan given only his second outing of the season and striker Marvin Sordell makes his first start since August 24.
Bolton: Lonergan, Riley, Knight, Ricketts, Alonso, Lee, Pratley, Andrews, Petrov, Ngog, Sordell.
Subs: Bogdan, Mears, Ream, Eagles, Kevin Davies, Spearing, Lester.
Sunderland: Mignolet, Bardsley, Bramble, Cuellar, Rose, Johnson, Larsson, Gardner, Vaughan, McClean, Fletcher.
Subs: Westwood, Campbell, Wickham, McFadden, Kilgallon, Colback.
Referee: Mike Jones.
