Silva stays in Manchester for clash in Amsterdam

Playmaker David Silva did not travel to Amsterdam for Manchester City’s Champions League Group D clash with Ajax.

Silva continues to nurse the hamstring injury sustained on international duty with Spain last week and could also be doubtful for the weekend encounter with Swansea.

Midfielders Jack Rodwell (hamstring) and Javi Garcia (thigh), and defender Maicon (foot) also failed to make the trip while centre-back Kolo Toure is not registered.
