QPR’s Kieron Dyer has been fined for a speeding offence after failing to attend court this morning.

The midfielder, of Coney Byes Lane, West Bergholt, Essex, previously denied a charge of failing to identify the driver of a Porsche.

He was due to stand trial at Lowestoft Magistrates’ Court today but did not appear for the hearing.

Instead he pleaded guilty in his absence to an alternative charge of speeding by driving at 50mph in a 40mph zone in Ipswich.

Dyer, 33, who had a clean driving licence, was fined £45 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge. He had three points added to his licence.
