Spurs held by Galaxy

Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly by a Los Angeles Galaxy side featuring former striker Robbie Keane.

Gareth Bale gave Spurs a first half lead in California before the home side levelled before the break.

Bale converted a 17th minute cross from summer signing Gylfi Sigurdsson but David Lopes replied before the break to make sure the match ended 1-1.

David Beckham was absent from th Galaxy line-up after being selected to feature for the MLS All Stars against Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
