Tottenham goalkeeping coach Tony Parks has been given a one-match ban and a £2,500 fine after admitting a charge of verbally abusing a match official during the club’s game against Bolton on May 2, the Football Association announced this afternoon.

Tottenham goalkeeping coach Tony Parks has been given a one-match ban and a £2,500 fine after admitting a charge of verbally abusing a match official during the club’s game against Bolton on May 2, the Football Association announced this afternoon.

Parks has been punished under the FA’s E3 rule, which prohibits coaches from using abusive and or insulting language towards a match official, and will be absent from the bench for Sunday’s Barclays Premier League home game against Fulham.

Parks has been a coach at Tottenham since 2008.
