Bray look to end winless streak against Bohs

Bray Wanderers will be looking to escape a relegation dogfight as they face seventh-placed Bohemians tonight, but history is against them.

The Seagulls have a poor record against Bohs – in the four meetings between the sides last season Bohemians were unbeaten, winning three game and drawing one.

Wanderers have failed to record a victory in their last 10 meetings with Bohs – drawing three times an losing seven.

They picked up their second win of the season against Monaghan last week after a number of impressive performances had failed to secure a victory.

Wanderers have a similar squad as recent times with the only absentees long term injury victims Shane O'Connor (groin) and Stephen Brennan (hamstring).

Bohemians have doubts over Owen Heary (hip) and flu-bound goalkeeper Andy McNulty, Dave Mulcahy and Danny Joyce. Dave Scully is away at a family wedding. Karl Moore returns from a shoulder injury.

Bray director of football Pat Devlin said: "I'll be looking for a similar performance from the lads against Bohs to last week’s display. It won't be easy but we will give it our best shot."

Bohemians boss Aaron Callaghan has insisted that Bray are better than their league position suggests.

"Bray has a team similar to ourselves, with a couple of experienced players and a lot more younger players," he said.

"Their form over recent weeks has been good and they have been unlucky not to get more from some of their matches."
