Young and Welbeck in for United
Alex Ferguson made two changes to his Manchester United starting line-up as the Red Devils looked to go eight points clear by beating QPR at Old Trafford.
Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck replaced Phil Jones and Javier Hernandez from the team that defeated Blackburn on Monday.
Relegation-threatened QPR had plenty of incentive to get a result themselves, although they were without Joey Barton and Bobby Zamora, who was on the bench, as Jay Bothroyd started a Premier League game for the first time since January.
Man Utd: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Young, Rooney, Welbeck. Subs: Amos, Jones, Giggs, Park, Hernandez, Cleverley, Pogba.
QPR: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Diakite, Derry, Mackie, Taarabt, Buzsaky, Bothroyd. Subs: Cerny, Gabbidon, Campbell, Young, Smith, Wright-Phillips, Zamora.
Referee: Lee Mason (Lancashire)
