Gerrard out for Reds

Liverpool rested skipper Steven Gerrard for the Barclays Premier League clash with Wolves at Molineux.

Gerrard was not even named among the substitutes after playing six games in succession following his return from a lengthy injury lay-off. Goalkeeper Pepe Reina captained the side in his absence.

Wolves’ on-loan midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong had recovered from the eye injury suffered against Aston Villa 10 days ago and took his place in the starting XI.
