First start of the season for Santon
Injuries to Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini meant Newcastle manager Alan Pardew was forced to change his back four for the first time this season today against Norwich at Carrow Road.
Davide Santon made his first Barclays Premier League start of the season in Coloccini’s place while James Perch replaced captain Taylor, who is likely to miss the rest of the season with an Achilles injury he suffered against Chelsea.
Grant Holt and Zak Whitbread came in for Norwich, who made four changes to the side that lost 5-1 to Manchester City last weekend.
