Obertan out for Magpies

Gabriel Obertan will miss Newcastle’s home clash with Everton tomorrow through illness.

The former Manchester United defender is sidelined by an infection and is likely to be replaced by Sylvain Marveaux as the Magpies attempt to maintain their unbeaten start to the Barclays Premier League campaign.

Cheik Tiote (knee) remains a doubt, while Shola Ameobi (hamstring) will be out for several weeks yet.
