Nine-man Chelsea trail at the break against QPR
QPR 1 Chelsea 0
Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba were both sent off as Chelsea pressed the self-destruct button three times in the first half of today’s west London derby at QPR.
David Luiz also conceded a needless penalty to gift the home side an interval lead and put them on course for a first victory over their arch-rivals for more than 16 years and first Barclays Premier League home win of the season.
Heidar Helguson dispatched the spot-kick before referee Chris Foy controversially dismissed Bosingwa, while Drogba gave him no choice but to brandish the red card for a second time.
