The central defender has missed the start of the campaign with a groin injury, but is likely to be included after getting a full week of training under his belt.

Ryan Nelsen will undergo a late fitness test on a knee problem, although Grant Hanley is fit after receiving a blow to the head in Wednesday night’s Carling Cup victory over Sheffield Wednesday, and Brett Emerton could play his final game for the club before joining Sydney FC.
