New signing Enrique could feature for Reds

Liverpool’s newest signing Jose Enrique could possibly be involved in tomorrow’s opening match of the campaign at home to Sunderland after registering with the Premier League in time.

Manager Kenny Dalglish has to decide whether the left-back can be involved after just one training session, while he will also make a late decision on whether striker Luis Suarez will feature having only returning to training on Monday after Uruguay’s Copa America victory.

Defender Glen Johnson (hamstring) faces a late fitness test but new signings Stewart Downing, Charlie Adam, Alexander Doni and Jordan Henderson – against his former club – are all in the squad with only captain Steven Gerrard and defender Martin Skrtel unfit to play.
