Diarra seals Marseille switch

France midfielder Alou Diarra has signed for Marseille from Bordeaux.

The 29-year-old is reported to have agreed a three-year contract with OM after four years with Les Girondins, during which time he won the Ligue 1 title in 2009.

A statement on Marseille’s official website read: “Alou Diarra passed his medical on Monday morning and signed his contract in the process.

“With Diarra, the club has secured the services of an international defensive midfielder who is among the best in France in his position.”
