Dundalk look to continue run of wins
Dundalk will be looking to maintain their good form as the welcome Bohemians to Oriel Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.
Ian Foster’s side come into the game on the back of two victories where they netted 11 goals in the process.
Jason Byrne remains a doubt with a hamstring strain, as does Colin Hawkins (also hamstring), while Eoghan Osborne (broken leg) and Stephen McDonnell (knee) remain out injured.
Dundalk’s Ross Gaynor is confident heading into tonight’s clash with Pat Fenlon’s Gypsies.
Gaynor said: “We're hoping to benefit from Europe like other teams around us were last year. I thought we struggled in the league last year when we were playing in Europe. Teams will do that this year, so I think that's where we'll pick up points.
“Obviously, teams around us are playing in Europe and to close that gap would be great. I know we're nine points off top, but we're not looking at that. We're just looking at the next game.”
Bohs will also be looking to carry on their good form as they look to make it three league wins in a row.
Goalkeeper Chris O'Connor is ruled out with a face injury, but otherwise, Bohs manager Fenlon has a full squad to choose from.
Fenlon said: “When we have everybody fit we can beat anyone. We now have players on the bench that can change games. We've done all right there over the last few years. I'm confident we can go and get a result.”
