St Pat's without captain Kenna again

St Patrick's Athletic should prove too strong for their non-league opposition as they take on Crumlin United at Richmond Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Saints are once again without captain Conor Kenna as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Neil Harney (muscle strain) and Anto Murphy (hamstring) have been struggling with injury but both should be fit to play.

Saints boss Pete Mahon said: “I’ve been reminded at least ten times already this week that it is 50 years since this club won the FAI Cup.

“I know how much it means to everybody but this game is a potential banana skin for us and we will treat Crumlin with a lot of respect.

“Crumlin have a good record in this competition and we are well aware that they have knocked out Shelbourne and Waterford United in recent seasons.”

St Pat’s have never lost to a non-league side in the cup but they will face a real test against Crumlin, who have been one of the leading lights in intermediate football in recent years.
