Murphy and Rossiter out for Bohs

Bohemians will be looking to build on last week’s victory as they take on St Patrick’s Athletic at Dalymount Park tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Gypsies beat Galway United last weekend and will be hoping to stay in touch at the top of the table as they take on an in-form St Pat’s.

Barry Murphy remains out with a groin injury, while Mark Rossiter is once again sidelined after injuring his hamstring.

Ger O’Brien is suspended for the visit of St Pat’s, although Glenn Cronin has returned to training and may be fit for selection.

Gypsies boss Pat Fenlon said: “Against Galway we had eight or nine amateurs in our squad of 18. We might have to get lads on amateur forms.

“We can give a great opportunity to lads who want to play for a big club like Bohemians. We have spoken to one or two lads we would like to play. We just need to freshen up.”

Pete Mahon’s Saints go into the game three points behind Bohs with a game in hand and have lost just one league game since being held to a 0-0 draw by the Gypsies on 1 April.

Captain Conor Kenna remains out for St Pat’s, while James O’Brien remains sidelined with an ankle injury and Dave Mulcahy will be given another week to recover from a hamstring injury.

St Pat’s boss Mahon said: “We rested Danny North and Daryl Kavanagh in the Leinster Senior Cup win over Athlone Town and they are likely to start.

“Like ourselves, Bohs have a young squad, but I am expecting a tough match as you would expect from any Bohemians team.”
