Tevez on bench as City hunt Euro spot

Carlos Tevez has been named on the bench as Manchester City take on Tottenham at Eastlands tonight knowing victory will secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

Micah Richards has been recalled after his hamstring injury, although there is still no place for Gareth Barry, who has been troubled by a similar problem.

Six points behind City with three games remaining, Spurs need to win tonight, and they have to do so without goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, who is replaced by Carlo Cudicini.
