Dundalk overturn nearly two decades of history with win
Bohemians 0 Dundalk 1
Colin Hawkins broke Bohemians hearts with an unlikely late winner for Dundalk as they snatched all three points from Dalymount.
The defeat was desperately harsh on Bohs as they utterly dominated for long spells but couldn't find a way past in-form Dundalk keeper Peter Cherrie.
Cherrie made first half stops from Killian Brennan, Anto Flood and then impressive teenager Chris Forrester.
Flood had an effort cleared off the line by Greg Bolger early in the second half as Bohs continued to dominate.
But in a rare attack on 80 minutes saw Dundalk strike for their undeserved goal.
Bolger put over a well-paced diagonal free-kick and Hawkins got his head to it to steer the ball past Chris O'Connor top give the visitors a first win at Dalymount in 18 years.
