More injury misery for Sunderland

Sunderland midfielder Kieran Richardson will miss the rest of the Premier League season after scans revealed a stress fracture of his left fibula.

He will join Craig Gordon, and Fraizer Campbell (both knee) and Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck (both hamstring) in missing the final three games of the campaign, starting at Bolton tomorrow.

Defender Michael Turner is also out as he prepares to visit a specialist after damaging the knee in a training ground collision with John Mensah, while Titus Bramble (also knee) continues to be assessed and Jordan Henderson (groin), Lee Cattermole (back) and Anton Ferdinand (hamstring) fight for fitness.
