UCD 2 Drogheda United 1

A late winner from substitute Sean Russell, son of manager Martin, saw UCD come from behind to beat bottom side Drogheda at the UCD Bowl.

David Freeman gave Drogheda the lead on the half hour with a crisply struck volley.

But midfielder Robbie Creevey levelled for College seven minutes into the season half when getting his head to a Dean Marshall corner.

Russell then fired home the winner with just two minutes remaining to give UCD their third win of the season and a nine-point cushion over Drogheda at the foot of the table.
