A Daniel Kearns strike won the Louth derby as Dundalk had to come from behind at Hunky Dorsy's Park tonight.

Bottom-of-the-table Drogheda were on the back foot from the off with Keith Ward shooting against a post before Mick Cooke's side stole the lead against the run of play on 25 minutes.

Mark Nolan's cross wasn't cut out by Colin Hawkins and Dinny Corcoran headed past Peter Cherrie.

Dundalk hit the woodwork again through Mark Quigley before they finally levelled on 56 minutes when central defender Hawkins headed home Ross Gaynor's delivery.

Skillful winger Kearns then netted the winner eight minutes form time when his looping header from another Gaynor cross beat Stephen Trimble in the Drogheda goal.
