Early surge proves decisive for Bray
Bray Wanderers 2 Galway United 0
As they did last week, Bray scored twice inside the opening nine minutes to make it three wins on the spin and move up to second in the Premier Division table.
Both goals stemmed from Galway's inability to defend set-pieces as Conor Murphy stabbed home the opener on three minutes after Dane Massey had helped on skipper Gary Dempsey's corner.
Another Dempsey corner six minutes later again flummoxed Galway with central defender Derek Prendergast getting the final touch to bundle the ball home.
Bray remained well on top with Greg Fleming in the Galway goal saving well from Shane O'Neill while Jake Kelly hit a post.
Galway's only chance came on 89 minutes when Shaun Kelly brought the save of the night from Bray keeper Darren Quigley with a fierce shot.
