Wanderers looking for first league win

Bray Wanderers travel to UCD tonight looking for their first league win at Belfield since 2001, kick off at the UCD Bowl is 7.45pm.

And Wanderers, remarkably, have failed to keep a clean sheet against the Students in the last 18 encounters between the sides in all competitions.

Conor Murphy is missing for Wanderers as he is away with the Republic of Ireland Under-19s, while Colm Tresson remains out with a calf injury.

Gary Shaw will also miss the trip to Belfield as he is struggling with an ankle injury and Shane O'Neill picked up a bug during the week and is considered doubtful.

Bray Wanderers Director of Football Pat Devlin said: “UCD and Bray have an unbelievable history and it’s always difficult to call. It’s all down to what happens on the night – always tough and very unpredictable.”

College boss Martin Russell must plan without Cillian Morrison who is ruled out injured, while Robbie Benson is another injury concern.

Russell said: “We will have a similar squad to the one that travelled to Galway. We are looking to build on a decent start to the season and we will as always try to play well and hopefully get more points on the board.

“Bray have started well, continuing the momentum from the end of last season. I have confidence in our group that we have the ability and attitude to be able to do get the three points. It will undoubtedly be a good game.”
