'Devastated' Andy Gray says sorry for sexist comments

Andy Gray has issued a statement apologising for his part in the Sky Sports sexism row today.

Gray, whose contract with Sky Sports was terminated yesterday, said in a statement released through his solicitors: "I am very sorry that certain comments made by me have caused offence. Such comments were made off-air to work colleagues, and were of course never intended to be broadcast.
