Lampard and Drogba on the bench for Blues
Frank Lampard was on the bench for Chelsea’s Barclays Premier League clash at Tottenham, with Didier Drogba also among the substitutes.
England midfielder Lampard was considered fit enough to be in the Blues’ 18 after three and a half months out injured, but Drogba was rested as Nicolas Anelka, Ashley Cole and John Obi Mikel were recalled.
Fit-again Spurs defender Michael Dawson captained the side in what was his first senior appearance for more than three months following a knock to William Gallas, while Aaron Lennon and Alan Hutton were also recalled.
