He replaces David Jones in midfield while Mick McCarthy hands a first league start to Stephen Hunt in place of Jelle Van Damme.

City midfielder Nigel De Jong is ruled out with a hamstring injury suffered in training yesterday.

Defender Dedryck Boyata was suspended after his red card against Arsenal.

Striker Carlos Tevez has been allowed to return home to Argentina after being side-lined through injury.

Kolo Toure, fit again after a hamstring injury, and strikers Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli come into the side.
