James McCarthy could be out of action for up to 10 weeks with an ankle injury, Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has said.

James McCarthy could be out of action for up to 10 weeks with an ankle injury, Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has said.

The midfielder was carried off on a stretcher after a heavy tackle from Bolton’s Fabrice Muamba in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash at the DW Stadium.
