Goal hero Nicolas Anelka put his own Luzhniki Stadium pain behind him to suggest that Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney would be welcome at Stamford Bridge.

Anelka’s penalty miss in the Moscow stadium at the climax of the 2008 Champions League final against Manchester United, cost the Blues the European crown.
