Sligo dominate Students at the Showgrounds

Padraig Amond scored his 17th goal of the season, and his fourth against UCD, as Sligo eased to victory over College at the Showgrounds to move up to third place in the Premier Division table tonight.

Skipper Conor O’Grady began the rout on 43 minutes when volleying past UCD keeper Ger Barron.

The division's top scorer Amond added a second in the final minute of the first half when drilling home.

Matt Blinkhorn scored with the help of a deflection to increase Sligo’s lead on 76 minutes before central defender Derek Foran added the fourth on 81 minutes.
