Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck on a season-long loan deal.

Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old has been linked with the Black Cats for much of the summer and United boss Alex Ferguson has now allowed Welbeck to leave for Wearside.
