O'Neill expects changes for Hoops

Galway United and Shamrock Rovers go head to head in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Terryland Park, kick-off 8.05pm.

Stephen O'Donnell returns to the United squad after serving a suspension.

Left back, Stephen Walsh, who made his debut last week is expected to retain his place in the squad.

Dessie Baker remains unavailable for Hoops as he is struggling with an Achilles injury, while Pat Sullivan remains sidelined.

Hoops boss Michael O’Neill said: “We’ll be looking to take the form we’ve had recently into the Galway game. With the Europa League game last Thursday and another one coming up, we may look to make a few changes.

“There is a lot coming up for the players with games and travel, but we won’t be making wholesale changes, as we want to keep the consistency we’ve built up going.

“We have a squad of 22 players who are capable of coming into the team. That was the aim at the start of the season. This is the perfect time to utilise that squad. We’ll be going to Galway looking to take the three points.”
