Dundalk win Louth derby

Tiarnan Mulvenna was the Dundalk hero as they came from behind to win the Louth derby and end a run of three straight league defeats.

John Flood gave relegation-threatened Drogheda an eighth minute lead when he controlled Kevin Ross’s cross to shoot past Matt Gregg.

Dundalk responded and got their match winning goals before the interval.

Stephen McDonnell levelled on 22 minutes, heading home following a sweet move involving Neale Fenn and Mulvenna.

Mulvenna then got the winner three minutes before half-time.

Faz Kuduzovic set him up and his shot was partially saved by keeper Paul Murphy before rolling agonisingly over the line.
