Fingal plan for trip to Drogheda without injured duo

Sporting Fingal can stay in touch at the top of the table with victory over Drogheda United at Hunky Dorys Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

Fingal boss Liam Buckley will have to plan without John Frost (hamstring) and Stephen Paisley (chest).

Kenny Browne also remains suspended, this time a one-match ban for accumulating four bookings.

Brian Gannon and Shaun Maher missed the midweek clash with Bray with hamstring and knee problems respectively; the pair remain doubtful to start and will undergo pre-match fitness tests.

For Drogheda, Alan McNally, Joe Kendrick, Robbie Martin, Paul Crowley, Michael Daly and John Flood are all carrying injuries and all will be assessed ahead kick-off.

United boss Alan Mathews said: “We are looking to bounce back from Monday night (losing to Bohemians).

“We should have got something out of the game. But it’s not the first time we have suffered that kind of defeat at Dalymount. I will be looking for a positive response to the defeat.

“We are just focused on getting a result this Friday night.”
