Shorey extends Forest loan

Aston Villa defender Nicky Shorey will remain on loan at Nottingham Forest for another month.

The 28-year-old former Reading full-back has helped Forest extend their unbeaten run to 16 Coca-Cola Championship matches since arriving at the club on November 24.

However, Shorey is unable to play in Saturday’s FA Cup third round tie against Birmingham and Villa retain the right to recall him at 24 hours notice.
