One change for Wolves
Wolves’ manager Mick McCarthy made one change from the side which drew with Everton last weekend for the home Barclays Premier League derby with Aston Villa.
Midfielder Segundo Castillo was restored to the starting line-up in place of Greg Halford, who is one game away from 250 appearances for the Molineux club.
Villa boss Martin O’Neill unsurprisingly kept faith with the side which overcame Chelsea 2-1 last weekend.
Defender Luke Young was among the substitutes having recovered from a pre-season thigh problem and then being given compassionate leave after the death of his brother.
Wolverhampton: Hennessey, Zubar, Craddock, Berra, Elokobi, Edwards, Henry, Castillo, Kightly, Ebanks-Blake, Doyle. Subs: Hahnemann, Stearman, Keogh, Halford, Jarvis, Iwelumo, Milijas.
Aston Villa: Friedel, Cuellar, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Milner, Petrov, Sidwell, Ashley Young, Carew, Agbonlahor. Subs: Guzan, Luke Young, Delph, Heskey, Reo-Coker, Gardner, Clark.
