The Clydesdale Bank Premier League have confirmed they are “actively engaging in the process of selling their domestic broadcasting rights” after broadcasters Setanta failed to make their outstanding payment of £3m (€3.5m).

The move comes just three days after the English Premier League terminated their contract with the Irish broadcaster when they were unable to make a £30m (€35m) payment.
