Ferdinand set for Rome

Rio Ferdinand is expected to feature in Manchester United’s Champions League final starting line-up against Barcelona tomorrow.

Ferdinand has shrugged off a calf injury that had kept him out for three weeks since he sustained it in the latter stages of the semi-final win at Arsenal.

Alex Ferguson’s major selection dilemma concerns his strikeforce, which revolves around whether to select an extra midfielder to support Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney or to go with the energy of Carlos Tevez or economy of Dimitar Berbatov.
