Honours even in hard-fought derby
Drogheda United 1 Dundalk 1
Chris Turner scored and was then sent off tonight as Drogheda battled back for a point in the Louth derby.
Midfielder Turner shot Dundalk in front from a 33rd-minute penalty after Paul Shiels was harshly adjudged to have fouled Tiernan Mulvenna.
Turner was then dismissed on 45 minutes following a second booking - the fifth Dundalk player to be sent off this season, and their third in three games.
Drogheda inflicted further punishment from the resultant free-kick as Alan McNally set-up defensive team-mate Conor Kenna to shoot past Chris Bennion.
