Kenna's St Pat's travel to Galway
Galway United will be looking for victory as they take on St Patrick’s Athletic and their former boss Jeff Kenna at Terryland Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.
Pat’s will be without former United midfielder John Lester who had excess fluid removed from his knee during the week.
He joins Gary Dempsey, Mark Leech (both broken legs), Bobby Ryan and Gints Friemanis (both knee) on the injury list, while Glen Fitzpatrick remains out for medical reasons.
Also out is Jason Gavin through suspension with either David Partridge or Noel Haverty set to play in his place.
Saints boss Kenna said: “While the trip to Galway is just another game, they did beat us 3-0 on our home patch on the opening game of the season so we do owe them one in that sense.
“I enjoyed my time at Galway, made a lot of friends there but I’m looking forward to going back and getting a good result.”
Galway boss Ian Foster can call upon the services of Sean Kelly after the on-loan Cork City midfielder could not feature against City last week due to the terms of his loan agreement.
Keeper Ger Hanley is available again after missing out on last week’s squad through international commitments.
Cian McBrien may return after an ankle knock forced him to miss out also.
Alan Murphy (ankle) and Mark O'Toole (hamstring) are both doubtful, while Shane Fitzgerald (ankle) and Paul Sinnott (broken ankle) remain out.
