St Patrick’s Athletic travel to face Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds on Saturday night hoping to build on their impressive away win in Cork last weekend, kick-off 8.00pm.

Stuart Byrne and Gary Dempsey are available for Saints boss Jeff Kenna, although Glenn Fitzpatrick and Damian Lynch miss out through suspension.

Brendan Clarke (foot), Stephen Maher (knee) and Bobby Ryan (groin) are long-term absentees but the Saints hope to include Mark Quigley in the squad for the first time this season.

Kenna said: “The trip to Sligo is going to be another difficult away game like last week but I’ll be looking for another dogged performance like the lads gave in Cork.

“Sligo haven’t had the best of starts and they’ll be eager to get their first win of the season under their belt, particularly at home.”

For Rovers, Sean Doherty is out injured and will join long-term injuries Chris Butler and Mauro Almeida in the stand.

Jason Noctor is also out after he picked up an ankle injury in last week’s defeat to Shamrock Rovers.

Alan Keane returns from suspension to bolster boss Paul Cook’s squad.
