Carvalho could make Chelsea comeback

Ricardo Carvalho could return to the Chelsea side for their Barclays Premier League meeting with Manchester City on Sunday.

The Portugal defender has been sidelined with a hamstring injury but manager Guus Hiddink is contemplating restoring him to the first XI in place of Alex.

Nicolas Anelka is the only other doubt after taking a reduced part in training today with a knock, but he is expected to be fit. The Blues are without Joe Cole (knee) and Paulo Ferreira (ligaments) for the rest of the season.
